The things they don't tell you... Most people think the closure of Monklands A&E is a “done deal”. But what Labour and their Lib-Dem coalition partners don’t tell you is that if they lose just 2 MSP’s, they also lose their majority. That is why NHSFirst is still campaigning to keep Monklands A&E open. The Monklands A&E Dept is not due to close until 2009. So, as your NHSFirst MSP, I will demand that the decision to close Monklands A&E Dept be reversed. Labour & the Lib-Dems can ignore 50,000 petitioners but they can't ignore 50,000 voters. That would mean 3 NHSFirst MSPs being elected and they could stop the closure. Remember, Donald Gorrie, your Lib-Dem MSP, is only 3,247 votes away from a P45. Don’t get angry – get even!
